We are delighted to announce the launch of Lanluma by Dr Martin Kinsella; a brand-new treatment and, in turn, a celebration of shape and form and finding confidence within this.

An innovative, non-surgical and completely safe alternative to the controversial Braziliam Bum Lift fat transfer technique, Lanluma by Dr Martin Kinsella is set to be one of the most popular treatments post-lockdown ahead of the summer.

An injectable poly-L-Lactic acid (PLLA) collagen stimulant, the new treatment adds volume and re-shapes the buttock area to enhance the curve and shape of the buttocks without surgery or indeed a high risk of complications – in fact one in three-thousand people currently die as a result of traditional Brazilian Bum Lift surgery.

While many people have a BBL for aesthetic reasons, many other patients have it after losing lots of weight, serious disfigurement after pelvic trauma, or experiencing practical problems, such as holding up trousers. As Dr Kinsella says, this is about enhancing confidence while remaining within the realms of ‘normal’, rather than aiming to completely change and distort our natural body shape.

Why is it unique?

Lanluma by Dr Martin Kinsella works very differently than other kinds of dermal fillers. Instead of simply adding volume in the way that hyaluronic acid ingredients would, Lanluma’s ingredients kick-start your body’s natural collagen production mechanism.

Since collagen is the protein that gives your skin its structure and shape, Lanluma injections perfectly creates a curved shape that looks natural and, importantly, fits with your body type.

What to expect during treatment?

After a thorough consultation, Dr Kinsella will ask you to lie comfortably on your stomach. He will then swab the area of your injection with alcohol to sterilise it and reduce the risk of infection. The injection process itself will only take a few moments.

You will see an instant result on the day of your treatment but of course, the building of collagen takes several weeks to months. This means you’ll likely need several injections to see improvement in volume and shape.
Downtime is minimal, and you will be provided with an easy aftercare guide to follow for the next few days following your treatment.

How long do the results last?

Treatment results will differ from person to person. However, normal results are expected to last for around three years after the two treatment sessions.

What is Lanluma?

How does it work?

Over time, our skin gradually loses its full, defined, youthful appearance and becomes thinner, whilst beginning to wrinkle. Fat tissue is lost, causing skin to sag and wrinkle further.

The main ingredient of Lanluma is Poly lactic Acid (PLLA) which has been used in medicine for more than 30 years and has a very long standing safety record. The process of Lanluma formulation will induce collagen and fibroblast production by stimulating the body’s natural inflammatory response and then over time the new naturally reshaped appearance will emerge to give gradual and long lasting natural looking results.

Who is suitable for the treatment?

As Poly Lactic Acid is a natural substance, most people are suitable for treatment. However, before any treatment begins, you will have an in depth consultation with Dr Kinsella. During this discussion we will encourage you to talk through what you’d like to achieve in your bum lift procedure from the general volume to overall shape. They’ll look at the areas you’d like to add shape and volume to and discuss what is possible and whether Lanluma is a suitable treatment for you.

How long does Lanluma last?

The Lanluma results usually last between 2-5 years. Patients who have 2-4 sessions of Lanluma treatments, with intervals of 3-4 week gap between sessions, demonstrate signs of breaking down the Lanluma at around 9 – 12 months post treatment. Clinical studies have repeatedly indicated that the effects of Lanluma treatment could last for up to 2 – 5 years.

Why is Lanluma different to fillers?

Unlike dermal filler which has become a popular option for a non surgical bum lift – Lanluma doesn’t just fill the depressed areas of the buttocks like a gel but instead works deep within the skin to stimulate your own natural collagen production, meaning it gives a more natural look and feel than dermal filler. With Lanluma, the non surgical bum lift can maintain results for two to three years which is a longer period of time in comparison to most body dermal fillers. Subsequent top up treatments after two to three years, can help maintain the buttock volume and shape.
